The Battery is Rochester's first indoor baseball and softball training facility in Western New York.
In addition to our regular instructional programs, we provide individuals and teams with a facility where they can practice their hitting and defensive skills.

Press Radio Club to Honor two Battery Alum
The Rochester Press Radio Club will honor two Battery alum at their dinner on May 23rd. Andy Parrino will receive the Elliot Cushing Award for excelling at the national level, and Brittany Grage (Pitttsford Mendon/U of Rochester) will receive the Knighthawks Female Ahtlete of the Year Award.

Battery's Riley Johnson Signs Letter of Intent with Syracuse
Battery student Riley Johnson, a senior infielder at Greece Athena High School, signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball at Syracuse. The six-year varsity starter was recruited by several colleges and universities. Riley is a member of the Battery Lighting Gold Travel Team.
A scholar athlete, she plans to major in communications with a concentration in TV and radio broadcasting.

Battery trained Andy Parrino called to major league
Battery alum and instructor Andy Parrino received the call from the San Diego Padres late on Wednesday, August 24.
Andy becomes the first non-pitcher from the greater Rochester area to make it to the big leagues in the last 65 years.
Although several Battery trained players have made it to the minor leagues, Andy is the first one to make it to the majors.
Battery Lighting Elite U-16 Team Earns Trip to Nationals
The Battery Lighting Elite U-16 team competed in the New York State "A" Championship held in Waterloo.

It is official: Battery Alum is NYS Record Holder!
Although it took a long time to make it into the record books, Battery student Karl Nielsen, then a senior at Spencerport High School, had five hits in one game against Penfield, on May 23, 1993. A group of Battery students realized the dream of becoming Section V softball champions.
